Abstract
This interview explains (a) that business firms serve the common good via innovative and productive value creation, (b) that profit signals and rewards successful value creation, since it expresses that the customers’ voluntary willingness to pay exceeds the costs of production, and (c) that the task of the state is to provide markets with an institutional framework that makes them serve the common good.
