Abstract

Written from the perspective of the ordonomic research program on economic ethics and business ethics, this article systematically identifies seven fallacies that can be observed in moral discourse on economic problems and solutions. There are four variants of a "personalistic" fallacy. Furthermore, a "moralistic" and a "normativistic" fallacy can be distinguished. Finally, a seventh fallacy is analyzed. It consists in a misinterpretation of Immanuel Kant and thus requires a “DeKANTation” of moral discourse.
