Abstract

Since 2000, BMUB’s Advisory Assistance Programme (AAP) has supported the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and other countries neighbouring the European Union in a development which is aligned to European environmental standards. The exchange and transfer of know-how aims at strengthening environmental administration bodies, raising environmental standards and preparing for environmental investments in the target region of the programme. This brochure presents the AAP and its framework and motivation. It embodies the connection between the history and projects of the program with the Milestones in EU development between 2000 and 2015 on a timeline.
